My kids beg for dessert most nights of the week. Especially if I've made something that they aren't especially psyched to eat. But 9 times out of 10 I don't do dessert. I'm not a fan of a whole bunch of sugar right before bed.
But every once in a while, I cave. Especially if it's something that I really want too! Root Beer Floats are the bees knees, but really loaded with sugar so I swapped out the root beer for DRY Sparkling Vanilla flavor - which is ridiculously epic with vanilla ice cream.
Also, an ice cream float on the weeknight seems like a big treat - but it takes about two point two minutes to make. So you come off as a hero.
